Lisa Vanderpump’s love of dogs is no secret. The ex-Real Housewife of Beverly Hills star and matriarch of Vanderpump Rules goes absolutely nuts over her furry friends: she toted her beloved Pomeranian Giggy practically everywhere she went on RHOBH (RIP Giggy), founded The Vanderpump Dog Foundation in 2016, and served as a judge on ABC’s dog grooming competition show Pooch Perfect

Now her Los Angeles dog rescue has its very own show on Peacock, Vanderpump Dogs, where audiences can finally… well, um, it’s hard to say. Look at dogs? Watch people adopt and not shop for tiny canine pals? Marvel at Lisa’s generosity of spirit when directed at animals, as opposed to her human employees? As of now, it’s still unclear. In any case, here are 20 questions I had after watching the trailer for Lisa Vanderpump’s latest venture, Vanderpump Dogs.

  • What, exactly, is the central premise of this show? And don’t say “dogs.”
  • Do we see ever see the dogs again once they’re adopted? Or are we expected to fall in love with them over the course of an episode, then never see them again?
  • Is there any drama at the dog rescue amongst the employees? Are any of them “screwing the pooch,” or screwing each other?
  • Does Lisa directly address the great Lucy Lucy Apple Juice-y saga of 2019 at any point on this show?
  • Can the little girl in the trailer who says she wants 3 dogs, but changes her mind after she hears she’ll be picking up 3 times the amount of poop, get a spin-off?
  • What is the budget for the Hawaiian themed doggy photoshoot?
  • Why does that dog groomer think he knows where my barber does and does not go? (Note: These days, I am my own barber.)
  • Is Ken Todd, Lisa’s husband, actually related to Duke, the Maltese mix with the underbite that looks like just him? (All signs point to yes.)
  • Where in the world are the messiest Vanderpump Dog employees of all time, Johns Blizzard and Sessa?
  • Is there a crossover episode where the dogs work as servers at SUR? (They could pull it off.)
  • By that same token, do the servers at SUR ever put on dog costumes and compete to see who is the first to get adopted? (Less optimistic about this one.)
  • Will Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute put on disguises and apply to work as dog groomers at Vanderpump Dogs, now that they’ve been fired from Vanderpump Rules?
  • Is this show produced by Radar Online?
  • Will Fake Friends theater company write a new play inspired by Vanderpump Dogs called This American Woof?
  • Can Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz adopt two dogs, name them both Tom, and make them the unofficial face of their bar, TomTom? (A million dollar idea, honestly.)
  • Is this a real show, or a joke from 30 Rock come to life? It absolutely feels like a subplot on Queen of Jordan.
  • Who is this show for?
  • How many sexual innuendos about the relationship between owners and dogs will Lisa make over the course of the season? We get two in the trailer alone.
  • Can Kyle Richards come on Vanderpump Dogs so these two can hash things out, and we can get Lisa back on RHOBH where she belongs? (Given Richard’s most recent Watch What Happens Live appearance, probably not.)
  • How does one go about adopting a Vanderpump Dog? (They’re actually very cute.)
